Közlekedés Consulting Engineers Ltd. was founded in the midst of accelerating social, political and economical transformation in January 1990 – as one of the first private enterprises of the transportation planning sector. Trusting in the success of the endeavour, the three founding engineers were supported by twelve recognized domestic and international companies.

Our professional’s knowledge base, experience, dedication, constant training, and quest for quality brought fruit.

In the past 20 years the initial team grew to a company of 60 employees, widely recognized in the transportation planning field, and forging close cooperation and partnerships with firms and subcontractors.

Gaining knowledge of the processes of our international partners, procuring funds for research and development, forging close partnerships with universities and research laboratories, and the continuous, visionary development of computer-based planning and design tools all helped to achieve high level of expertise of information technology, to acquire cutting edge transportation modelling and planning methodologies and state-of-practice.

Joining the European Union, submitting a growing number of proposals and projects funded by the EU meant new challenges in terms of understanding European planning practices, and developing professional relationships with European and domestic clients, as well as local and international design companies. Our professionals, who gained knowledge and expertise while working with us, are especially successful in this area. We regularly participate in the planning of major projects as lead consortium partner, consortium partner or partner.  Recently, our company profile expanded significantly in two fields. Our scope now covers extra-urban, regional, national, and European levels, while our activities include urban liveability, equal opportunity, sustainability and reduced car-dependence research and planning.
